Memorandum Of Understanding Between Universitas Pancasila and IPPAT and Public Lecture Of Notary Program at FHUP Jakarta – The Master of Notary Program at the Faculty of Law, Universitas Pancasila, held a public lecture with the theme “Anticipating Land Deed Officials (PPAT) in the Whirlwind of Land Mafia”. The public lecture featured guest speakers Dr. Hapendi Harahap, S.H., Sp.N., M.H., the Chairman of the Indonesian Land Deed Officials Association (IPPAT), and Prof. Dr. Joni Emirzon, S.H., M.Hum, the Coordinator of the Master of Notary Program at the Faculty of Law, Universitas Sriwijaya. The lecture was moderated by Dr. Ali Abdullah, S.H., M.H., M.M., M.Kn, a lecturer in the Master of Notary Program at Universitas Pancasila. The public lecture took place on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at the Nusantara Hall, Faculty of Law, Universitas Pancasila. The event started at 09:30 AM with the singing of the Indonesian national anthem followed by the university’s anthem. In his opening remarks, Dr. Yoyo Arifardhani, S.H., M.M., LL.M., the Head of the Master of Notary Program at Universitas Pancasila, expressed his honor in welcoming the guest speakers and thanked them. He believed that the insights shared by the speakers would be beneficial for the students and educators in the Master of Notary Program and the academic community of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Pancasila. Through a video message, Prof. Dr. Eddy Pratomo, S.H., M.M., the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Pancasila, stated that the theme of the public lecture was highly relevant to the future challenges faced by the students of the Master of Notary Program, such as land mafia issues. He acknowledged the difficulty in eradicating land mafia but emphasized the importance of academic efforts in anticipation and prevention. In his speech, Hapendi Harahap, the Chairman of IPPAT, highlighted IPPAT’s role in the fight against land mafia. He emphasized that PPATs, as part of the land registration process, must understand the patterns and behaviors of land mafia. IPPAT has collaborated with the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency to support the government’s program in combating land mafia. Following the public lecture, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony took place between Universitas Pancasila and IPPAT. This collaboration aimed to strengthen various academic fields in the Master of Notary Program. Dr. Yoyo Arifardhani, representing the Rector of Universitas Pancasila, signed the MoU, while Hapendi Harahap, the Chairman of IPPAT, signed on behalf of IPPAT.
