Faculty of Law, Pancasila University Successfully Holds NMCC VII Attorney General’s Cup, Universitas Brawijaya Wins Champion

Jakarta – The Delegation of Universitas Brawijaya Malang won the first place in the National Moot Court Competition (NMCC) or the VII National Moot Court Competition, RI Attorney General’s Cup. Meanwhile, the 2nd place winner was won by the Yogyakarta Islamic University of Indonesia and the 3rd place was won by Trunojoyo Madura University. The National Moot Court competition event was held in collaboration with the Law Faculty of Pancasila University and the Education and Training Agency (Badiklat) of the Attorney General’s Office of the Republic of Indonesia.

The VII National Moot Court Competition for the Attorney General’s Cup with the theme “Creating a Golden Generation of Anti-Moral Hasad and Fraud in Efforts to Eradicate National and Global Corruption Crimes” was held from January 23, 2023 attended by 288 participants from 16 delegates from various universities in Indonesia. at the Indonesian Attorney General’s Office Education and Training Agency, Ragunan, South Jakarta.

The Head of Education and Training for the Indonesian Attorney General’s Office, Toni T. Spontana, who represented the Attorney General of the Republic of Indonesia, closed the series of competition events and at the same time handed over the Indonesian Attorney General’s Cup to the delegation of Universitas Brawijaya as the winner. Before reading the remarks of the Attorney General of the Republic of Indonesia, Toni Spontana said, “Allow me to express my highest appreciation and appreciation on behalf of myself and as the Head of the Indonesian Prosecutor’s Office Training Agency to all parties who participate, work hard, work together and sincerely so that the implementation of the National Attorney General Cup Moot Court VII can take place in a safe and orderly manner.” he said when opening his remarks on Thursday (26/01/2023) at the Adhi Sasana Karya Hall, the RI Attorney General’s Office Training Complex in Ragunan, South Jakarta.

Furthermore, the former Head of the DKI Jakarta High Prosecutor’s Office (Kajati) said, “Of course my special appreciation goes to the Law Faculty of Pancasila University for collaborating with the Education and Training Agency to organize this competition. The results of this year’s competition will certainly be used as evaluation material for the implementation of the next competition in the coming years to be better, higher quality and massive.

Meanwhile, Deputy Chancellor III of Pancasila University for Student and Alumni Affairs Dr.Joko Hartanto, SH., M.Sc who represented the Chancellor of Pancasila University in his remarks said, “National Moot Court Competition VII RI Attorney General Cup is a very positive activity in increasing knowledge students go through a trial simulation.”

“Pancasila University represented by the Dean of the Faculty of Law collaborated with the Head of the Indonesian Prosecutor’s Office in implementing this Moot Court competition which was a follow-up to the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the Indonesian Attorney General and Pancasila University, this activity aims to prepare Human Resources (HR) among Indonesian law students and a golden generation who are expected to become superior, professional and Pancasilaist law enforcers in the future,” he said.

Present at the Closing of the NMCC VII Indonesian Attorney General Cup Deputy Dean I of the Faculty of Law at Pancasila University Dr.Zaitun Abdullah, SH., MH and Deputy Dean III of the Faculty of Law Wibisono Oedoyo, SH., MH and Lecturer at the Faculty of Law at Pancasila University as well as officials of the Prosecutor’s Education and Training Agency RI.
